Some wrenches may be universal…but that’s not always true of the technologies for optical surface texture measurement. Some instruments excel in particular measurements, others offer higher vertical resolution, or lateral resolution…and many use different file formats to save the results. Fortunately, OmniSurf3D software can analyze data from all of them!
Here’s a tiny adjustable crescent wrench that we picked up as a trade show giveaway. We measured features of the wrench using four different technologies. and you can explore all of the results below!
