Plasma Cylinder Bore

Plasme coated cylinder bore with honing marks - Digital Metrology Solutions

This is an example of plasma coated cylinder bore. The plasma porosity can be seen, as well as the cross-hatch pattern from the subsequent honing operations.

In Omnisurf3D you can use the Pit/Porosity Analysis (Tools > Pit/porosity Analysis) to explore the depths of the pores across the surface. Click and drag the blue, horizontal line to see the pores that are present at a given depth below the surface.
