Mold-Tech Plastic Surface Textures – Coarse (61 Datasets)

Mold Tech is a collection of surface finishes for injection molded components, including geometric, organic, and natural patterned textures. A Mold Tech Texture Book (MT Texture Book), like the one below, contains “plaques” as samples of these textures:

These datasets were measured with a GelSight Tactile Sensing system, which is a fast measurement solution for many kinds of surfaces, particularly those with larger texture features. Other datasets in the series, which consist of finer features, were measured with a Zygo ZeGage Plus optical profiler.
